He grew up performing with his family, and still performs as a solo at with two of his brothers. His mother is from Cape Breton, but he was born and raised in Ontario as part of “Leahy,” the legendary Canadian folk music group that includes eight of the 11 Leahy siblings. MacMaster was born and raised on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, and met Leahy through music. The family’s home base is in Ontario, Canada. “The first show is February 15 in Akron, Ohio, and the first leg of the tour ends March 29,” MacMaster said.“We’ll do another leg of the tour in the fall, but in between, we’ll still be doing separate shows. The Randolph show is the second stop on a 60-city tour of the United States for the couple and their six children. They have performed many times at Chandler, along with dancers and singers who bring to life their Celtic traditions, and for the first time on stage, the show will include their own children.
